Plans solidified for Whistler's 2014 Festivals, Events and Animation program

The 2014 Festivals, Events and Animation (FE&A) programming is moving ahead following Council’s endorsement on March 4, 2014, with a robust line-up of events.

Whistler’s summer event calendar just got a boost with a new festival kicking off the season on the Victoria Day Long Weekend, May 16-19, 2014.

The 2014 Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) budget guidelines were presented at a regular meeting of council on April 1. The “zero and zero” budget proposes no increases to existing municipal property tax revenue and no increases to municipal utility fees for the third year in a row, while maintaining or increasing levels of service to the community and resort visitors.

The program is open to youth between the ages of 15 and 18, and will run from July 7 to 18, 2014 in Whistler, B.C.

Changes coming to Whistler's waste depots

Whistler residents and visitors will see changes to Whistler’s depot sites at Function Junction and Nester’s starting May 19, 2014, including an onsite attendant, new hours of operation from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and additional recycling options.
