Bobsleigh Ride with Justin Trudeau

Mayor Nancy Wilhelm-Morden was invited by Whistler Sport Legacies to join Justin Trudeau M.P., and his wife, Mrs. Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau at the Whistler Sliding Centre to experience the public Bobsleigh ride on January 23, 2012. 

While visiting the Sliding Centre, Mr. Trudeau and the Mayor were also introduced to the Canadian Bobsleigh Development Team and their Coach, Pierre Lueders, who are in Whistler training for the FIBT Bobsleigh & Skeleton World Cup on February 2 – 4, 2012.  Mr. Trudeau’s passion for high performance and recreational sport, and his love of Whistler was reflected in the discussion he had with WSL staff and the athletes.
