Parking Passes

The Social Research and Planning Council (SPARC) of British Columbia issues disability parking permits for communities in the Lower Mainland and across BC.

Parking Access Permits

Whistler residents can apply for a parking access permit from SPARC BC.

A doctor’s recommendation is required, and anyone with a permanent or temporary mobility impairment is eligible for a permit. People who need extra wide parking spaces to get in and out of their vehicle, or who cannot walk more than 100 meters, or who are legally blind are also eligible for a permit. Permits for permanent disabilities must be renewed every three years.

The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) honours out-of-province and out-of-Country permits. Visitors can apply for temporary access permits from SPARC BC.

Visitors

Visitors can bring permits issued from their home community. The RMOW honours out-of-province and out-of-country disabled parking passes.
