Cheakamus Crossing Resident Parking Workshop

The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) Community Life Department would like to invite Cheakamus Crossing Residents to a neighbourhood Parking Workshop.

When: Wednesday, November 2 at 7 p.m.
Where: The Falls building (directly across from Hostel)
Why: To discuss the current parking situation in the neighbourhood and look at potential solutions that could be considered in the short and long term.
Who: Only residents of Cheakamus Crossing are being asked to attend this workshop.

Background: 

The RMOW and the Whistler 2020 Development Corporation (WDC) have been receiving complaints from both residents and potential buyers in Cheakamus Crossing regarding the state of the lots off of Legacy Way with respect to stored vehicles, boats, campers, trailers, etc. The zoning of these lots does not permit storage. The RMOW is planning to use the paved lots off of Legacy Way as hard surface play areas as a neighbourhood amenity. Parking in these areas poses liability and snow removal issues. The RMOW has been working with WDC and the strata managers in Cheakamus Crossing to communicate the regulations.
