Pemberton Winterfest

This fun annual festival takes place at various locations throughout the lovely town of Pemberton between the 19th and 22nd January  2012.

12 great events over the course of 4 big days will take place. Locals and tourists alike are all welcomed to join the fun and action of this wonderful community celebration.

There will be movies, youth video dance, street hockey, polar bear swim, a family carnival and more! With a variety of FREE and By Donation events, there's no excuse to miss this fun-filled family friendly celebration!

Day One - Thursday January 19
Movie Night
Come and enjoy the King of Devil's Island movie.

A Norwegian thriller with English subtitles at the Pemberton Public Library.

"Winter, early 20th century. On the boys home Bastoy, a new inmate leads the boys to a violent uprising against a brutal regime. How far is he willing to go to attain freedom?"

Starts 7pm at the Public Library. This event is Free!

Day Two - Friday January 20
Much Music Youth Video Dance
Check out the local kid's talent at the Much Video Dance event.

Day Three - Saturday January 21
Street Hockey or Shinny Hockey
Weather dependent, there's going to be either a Shinny Hockey or Street Hockey played between 10am and 4pm.

One Mile Lake or Pemberton Community Center Parking lot. Make sure you register at RONA at 9am.

BBQ
Between 11am and 4pm the Lions Club of Pemberton has kindly put on a barbeque. (this is also known in some parts of the world as a "sausage sizzle")

Winter Carnival
From 11am to 3pm at the Pemberton Community Center, it's the Winter Carnival! Make sure to bring your golf club... They've got face painting, balloon animals and indoor and outdoor games and entertainment for all.

Story Time in PJ's
At 6:30pm its story time! Bring the little ones in their pajamas and have them dazzled by wonderful stories at the Pemberton Public Library. This is a free event.

Whole Lotta Lead Concert
From 9pm to 1am. At the Pemberton Legion. Come and rock out and support this great local band. $15 per ticket. You can buy your tickets at Pemberton Valley Supermarket, Legion and Esso.

Community Harvest Project

Day Four - Sunday January 22
Polar Bear Plunge
Don't miss this great event kindly hosted by the Pemberton Fire Department. You get a free BBQ meal and hot chocolate!

11am at One Mile Lake. This event is free!

Skating & Curling
Come to One Mile Lake between 1pm and 3pm to go for a skate and try your hand at some all Canadian curling!
