Picnic at the Plaza with Hairfarmers & She Stole My Beer

August 28, 2011 - 1:00pm - 6:00pm
Venue:
Whistler Olympic Plaza

Following the energetic launch of the Pavilion, Whistler presents a rock ‘n’ roll picnic with fun, food and music. Pack a picnic and some instruments – djembes, drums, maracas, tambourines, whatever you've got – and join in a community "jam fest" hosted by The Hairfarmers.

The afternoon’s entertainment on the Pavilion stage will include live music with long-time Whistler favourites, She Stole My Beer. The top five finalists from Mountain FM’s Whistler Anthem Project, Chad Oliver, Rachel Thom, Glenn Mishaw, Jeremy Thom and Adam Leggett will perform their winning submissions along with a few other tunes that highlight the diverse musical talent that calls Whistler home. Rick Lewis – a Whistler Street Entertainment favourite – will perform his world-famous juggling and unicycle act on the lawn, entertaining the crowds between music sets.

No rock ‘n’ roll experience is required – just join in the fun.
