QUEST LECTURE SERIES: The Discovery of the Accelerating Universe
Join Rob Knop, physics professor from Quest University, for a lecture on the acceleration of the universe.

The 2011 Nobel Prize in physics was given to Saul Perlmutter, Brian Schmidt, and Adam Riess for the 1998 discovery that the expansion of our Universe is expanding.  At the time of the discovery, Rob Knop worked with and was a core member of Perlmutter's team.

In this talk, he'll tell you about just what it means to say that our Universe is accelerating, and he'll talk about how we made the observations that led to this groundbreaking discovery.

Admission is FREE! Seating is limited, come early.
