The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) is working to make the community's shared commitment to sustainability and Whistler2020 both meaningful and measurable.

What is Whistler2020?

Facilitated by the RMOW, Whistler2020 is the community's comprehensive sustainability plan. Simply out, it is a shared vision for the community, a process to move toward that vision and a program to report and montor progress on our journey toward continued success and, ultimately, sustainability.

Created and implemented by the community, Whistler2020 frames community decision-making and re-imagines Whistler as a sustainable, low-footprint community.

How can film productions go green?

From reusing beams in construction to employing local caterers to provide craft services, the film industry has also been moving forward in its sustainability efforts. The RMOW encourages these efforts and has many suggestions on how to make your production greener.
