Backyard Brainstorm Workbook Available for Whistler Neighbourhoods and Community Groups

July 22, 2010 ... The Whistler Backyard Brainstorm Workbook is now available on the Official Community Plan (OCP) Update website: www.whistler2010.com.

The workbook is a resource designed by the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) for self-directed discussions by community groups and neighbourhoods about community issues, opportunities, and actions to be included in the OCP update.

Priority registration for residents for Parks and Rec Fall 2010 & Winter 2011 Programs
July 19, 2010 ... Whistler residents will receive priority registration for Whistler Parks and Recreation Fall 2010 and Winter 2011 programs.

Whistler residents can register online beginning Sunday, August 15 at 12:01 a.m. or in person and by phone at 9 a.m.  Non-Resident registration will begin online on Sunday, August 22 at 12:01 a.m. and in person and by phone at 9 a.m.

RMOW provides updates to air quality bylaw and asphalt plant FAQ's

July 6, 2010… In May 2010, the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) entered into an agreement with Alpine Paving, which will see the asphalt plant move to a relocation site 150 metres from its current location. Alpine Paving will invest approximately $1 million to upgrade the new asphalt plant with equipment, including a baghouse, to decrease emissions from the new plant and protect air quality in the Cheakamus Crossing neighbourhood.
