Businesses operating in Whistler are required to have a valid sign permit that complies with the Consolidated Sign Bylaw No. 558, 1987, as well as any comprehensive sign plans for specific buildings. Contact us if you have any questions about your building’s sign plan.

To obtain a sign permit, please download the Sign Permit Application form and return it, completed to municipal hall. The information requested in this application is necessary to fully evaluate your request for signs. Completion of this form does not guarantee approval.

You will be required to submit, with your completed application:

2 sets of complete and detailed drawings, to scale
Written approval for proposed signage from Strata or Tennant Coordinator.

Additional Charges for New Signage
Acia/Awning/Electrical sign (Site Inspections required)	$40 ea
Sign Alteration (Same Business)	$30 ea
Private Traffic Control Signs	$30 ea
Election or Special Event Signs (Fee and Deposit required)	$30 fee $200 deposit
Comprehensive Sign Plan	$100 ea
Fine for Signs Erected Without A Permit	$100 ea
