Each year Council makes financial grants to local charities and non-profits that benefit the resort community. The Community Enrichment Program has been aligned with Whistler2020 so that the successful grant proposals show how the program will move Whistler toward sustainability as defined by the Natural Step sustainability principles.


The amount granted varies and can only be an amount of up to 50 percent of program's total cost. The grant is for one year only; groups must apply each year to be considered for a grant.

 

The Community Enrichment Program has been aligned with Whistler2020 - the resort community vision and strategic plan for Whistler's continued success and move towards a sustainable future. All grant proposals must move Whistler toward success and sustainability as defined by Whistler2020, and be a flexible platform for ongoing progress toward sustainability.

  

Applications are accepted by the Corporate Officer by February 15 of each year and are awarded by April 30 each year. 

Review the Community Enrichment Program Policy and Application Package for 2010. A new application for 2011 will be available later this year.

The deadline for application submissions for 2010 was February 13, 2009 at 4:30 p.m.
