Parking rates reduced for Whistler Conference Centre underground and Library parking lots

Rate reductions for hourly, nightly, and monthly parking

October 18, 2012: Effective immediately, the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) is offering reduced rates for hourly, nightly and monthly parking in the Whistler Conference Centre underground and Whistler Public Library underground parking lots.

These premium, secure, covered parking spaces centrally-located within the Village, close to shops, restaurants, and the base of the mountains are now being offered at a monthly pass rate of $30, with short-term parking options ranging from $1 hour to a maximum of $10 for 24 hours of parking.

The RMOW has been looking at ways of maximizing usage of municipal parking lots and staying competitive, while providing a wide range of parking and transportation options for residents and visitors. At one dollar per day, the monthly passes are an economical option.

The monthly pass spaces are limited, and can be purchased at the Municipal Hall from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. These passes cannot be purchased at the parking meters.

In addition to the monthly pass option, there are a range of affordable, secure, and convenient short-term parking options available at the Conference Centre underground and library underground parking lots:

  • $1 per hour (25-cent minimum)
  • $5 maximum evening rate (5 p.m. to 10 a.m.)
  • $10 for 24 hours of parking
  • $10 per day; seven-day maximum

Please be advised that pay parking is in effect in these locations 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

Smart Park meters
For on-street municipal parking and parking in all municipal lots, except the Day Lots, the Smart Park meter offers savings for hourly parking. The Smart Park device uses a Smart Card, which is loaded with a prepaid number of parking hours and inserted into the Smart Park meter. The Smart Park meter is then placed inside the vehicle and displays the parking zone selected. Smart Park meters are limited to three hours. The Smart Park meter will credit the Smart Card, right down to the second, if you return to your car before your allotted time is up, and will provide a 15-minute grace period.

The Smart Park meters are available for sale at the Municipal Hall.
