Smart Park meters currently work in all municipal lots and on-street parking, except the Day Lots.
The Smart Park device uses a Smart Card, which is loaded with a prepaid number of parking hours and inserted into the Smart Park meter. The Smart Park meter is then placed inside the vehicle and displays the parking zone selected.
The Smart Park meter offers savings for hourly parking (Smart Car meters are limited to a maximum of three hours) , and serves as an affordable and convenient option to allow residents, frequent guests, and weekenders to park in the Village.
The Smart Park meter will credit your Smart Card, right down to the second, if you return to your car before your allotted time is up. A 15-minute grace period will also be provided.
The Smart Park meter is available for sale at the Municipal Hall – Bylaw Services office.
Parking Rates in all Village locations, except the bus loop and North Shore Credit Union lot, using the Smart Park meter:
- First hour: $1
- Second hour: $1
- Third hour: $2
NOTE: The Smart Park meter cannot be used in the Day Lots.

No more walking to a parking meter. Simply set the SmartPark when you park your car and switch it off when you return.
You only pay for the time you park - for example, if you park for 5 minutes, you only pay for 5 minutes. No more ‘loading the meter’ and returning early with money still remaining. Likewise, if you think that you are just going to be a short while, but get held up, you don’t have to worry.
SmartPark means no more coins, as all your parking credit is stored on your personal "Smart Card”.
Your Smart Card also allows you to print out all the information on where, when, and how long the user has parked.
Simple to operate, the SmartPark takes the worry out of paying for on-street parking.
