The land(s) that is/are the subject of the Permit is/are legally described as: PID: 008-895-970; LOT 1 DISTRICT LOT 3625 PLAN 12376 , as shown on the map attached to this notice.
The purpose of the Permit is to vary Whistler’s Zoning and Parking Bylaw 303, 2015 to allow the owner of the subject property to construct retaining walls within the side and rear setback areas as follows: Two retaining walls located 1.2 metres from the north side parcel boundary; One retaining wall located 1.2 metres from the south side parcel boundary at the closest point; One retaining wall located 3.9 metres from the rear parcel boundary
Without the proposed variance, retaining walls are not permitted in the 3 metre side setback area or 7.6 metre rear setback area, unless these features are less than 0.6 metres in height and provided they are also setback at least one metre from any side and two metres from any front or rear parcel line.
