The South Whistler Water Supply Upgrade Project – Phase I includes the installation of new water mains connecting the existing water system in Function Junction to a future pump station located adjacent to the Whistler Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) on Cheakamus Lake Road.
The Scope of Works includes:
50 mm Watermain Service
- Installation of 50 mm domestic service line
Altitude to Check Valve Replacement
- Removal of existing altitude valve in an existing vault at the Cheakamus Reservoir.
- Installation of 200 mm check valve in an existing vault at the Cheakamus Reservoir.
- Installation of two (2) 200 mm DI Spools.
250 mm Watermain
- Removal of existing 250 mm watermain and fittings and appurtenances.
- Installation of 250 mm DI watermain.
- Installation of Air valve chamber(s) complete with air valve(s).
- Installation of 250 mm gate valves with risers to surface.
300 mm Watermain
- Removal of existing 300 mm watermain and fittings and appurtenances.
- Installation of 10 m of 300 mm DI Watermain.
400 mm Watermain
- Removal of existing 400 mm watermain and fittings and appurtenances.
- Installation of 400 mm DI Watermain.
75 mm Fibre-Optic Conduit
- Installation of 75 mm conduit.
- Installation of pull boxes.
