RMOW is committed to continue working with Emily Carr University of Art & Design (ECUAD) as a partner in the future to implement our learning and education strategy.
About the Program
ECUAD has partnered with the RMOW to offer a Teens Satellite art studio in the summer over the past 2 years.
Currently, there is a very exciting and significant development underway for the university, being the new state of the art campus which is now more than 50% completed.
The RMOW is aware that the ECUAD team has been allocating its resources on the new campus. It is to our disappointment that we will not be able to offer the arts program this summer.
However, we look forward to working further with ECUADs team once they have appropriate resources available to further explore programming opportunities.
Whistler will continue to offer a broad range of arts learning opportunities through various local organizations including Arts Whistler and the Audain Art Museum as well as through our partnership with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestral Institute at Whistler.
The development of an educational program in Whistler builds on recommendations of Whistler’s Learning and Education Task Force, the Whistler Community Cultural Plan, and Whistler’s Cultural Tourism Development Strategy.
