A demolition permit is required prior to any interior or exterior demolition works of a home, building or structure.

• demolish an entire existing home, building or structure, or
• demolish an interior or exterior portion of a home, building or structure. 

This typically means you want to: 

• undertake demolition prior to making an application for a new home, building or structure, or
• undertake demolition of an interior or exterior portion of an existing home, building or structure on your site prior to making a renovation or addition application for a home, building or structure.

All applications must be made in person at the RMOW Building Department front counter.  The completed application package is required at time of application. Consult the application checklist for additional requirements that may apply to your permit application.
