The land that is the subject of the Permit is legally described as: PID: 007-286-406 Lot 20 Block I District Lot 4750 Plan 17377, as shown on the map attached to this notice.
The purpose of the Permit is vary Whistler’s Zoning and Parking Bylaw 303, 2015 to allow development in the front setback as follows: a covered entryway with support columns to 6.0 metres from the front property line, a carport to 3.1 metres and an upper floor deck on the carport roof to 4.2 metres from the front property line at 3254 Arbutus Drive.
Without the proposed variance, the following regulations apply:
- The required front setback for a carport is 5 metres in the RS1 zone;
- The required front setback for the covered entryway with support columns is 7.6 metres;
- Decks are permitted to project only up to 1.5 metres in the front setback.
