The land that is the subject of the Permit is legally described as: PID: 025-424-688 STRATA LOT 13 DISTRICT LOT 7798 GROUP 1 NEW WESTMINSTER DISTRICT STRATA PLAN LMS4695, as shown on the sketch / map attached to this notice (the “Lands”).
The purpose of the Permit is vary Whistler’s Zoning and Parking Bylaw 303, 2015 to allow the construction on the Lands of one retaining wall that is 2.5 metres in height and located 0 metres from the front parcel line.
Without the proposed variance, retaining walls are not permitted to be sited within 2 metres of a parcel line that abuts a highway (front parcel line in this case) and retaining walls are not permitted to be greater than 1.22 metres in height in setback areas.
Copies of the Development Variance Permit, permit application and supporting documentation may also be inspected at the reception desk of the Municipal Hall at 4325 Blackcomb Way, Whistler, B.C., during regular office hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding statutory holidays) until December 21, 2021.
If you wish to provide comments you must do so in writing, by 4:30 pm on December 21, 2021. Written comments received by November 30, 2021 will be distributed to members of Council 5 days before the meeting.
