Nestled in the serenity behind the Whistler Public Library, Florence Petersen Park is an ideal location for family, social and community events.
This park is part of the Cultural Connector, a route that connects six significant cultural destinations in the Village. It was named after Florence Petersen, Whistler's longest-tenured resident who founded the Whistler Museum and Archives. She was awarded both Citizen of the Year and the Freedom of the Municipality.
Location
This park is located in Whistler Village behind (north of) the Whistler Public Library and Whistler Museum and Archives between Main Street and Northlands Boulevard.

Rental information
This park is suitable for family, social and community events. Available for booking from May 15 - October 15 (excluding holiday long weekends).
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the RMOW is working towards taking bookings under new guidelines.
Original capacity: 100- Capacity in phase three: 50 (including contracted staff)
- Minimum 2 hour booking with 30 minutes between bookings
This will help bookings to practice physical distancing and have an enjoyable visit during our busiest time of the year. Please help us to provide a quality experience for park visitors and protect the environment that makes these places special.
