His first book, That Lonely Section of Hell, is a memoir describing his role in the investigation and his years-long struggle with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result of his work on the case. It was chosen as a Globe and Mailβs 100 Best Books.
8:30 p.m. Spirits Rising Drumming Session with Bill Helin and Linda Epp – Tsimshian/Norwegian Artist and Childrenβs educator has written and illustrated over 120 childrenβs story and education books and has been sharing the teaching of his Tsimshian/Tlingit Ancestors through Story Drumming in classrooms since 1990. His recent book, βAnimals Care for Mother Earthβ teaches children and young people to see through the eyes of the animals, as they deal with a pollution problem.
βI believe it is important to protect our children from being separated from their true Ancestral Vibrations, their future depends upon their connection to Mother Earth and their Creator through a true knowledge of the life before the Cloud Creatures arrived. It is our duty to fearlessly fight this great spiritual battle to keep them safe, because All Lives Matter.β Bill Helin
