The land that is the subject of the Permit is legally described as: PID: 005-493-960; LOT 38 DISTRICT LOT 2246 PLAN 5509, as shown on the sketch / map attached to this notice.
The purpose of the Permit is to vary Whistler’s Zoning and Parking Bylaw 303, 2015 to allow a new detached dwelling to be located 3.2 metres from the rear parcel line.
Without the proposed variance, foundations for a detached dwelling are not permitted to be located within 7.6 metres of a rear parcel line. The proposed variance will enable projections for roof overhangs located 2.2 metres from the rear parcel line and decks located 2.2 metres from the rear parcel line in compliance with the allowable projections into required setback areas.
