Writing Workshop for Young Writers

Vancouver author Susin Nielsen leads a workshop for young writers on character and beginnings.

In this hour and a half long session, Susin will talk about how she became a writer, and do a short reading from one of her novels to open up a discussion on character and beginnings. She will then get participants to work in small groups to create their own unique protagonists, and, if there is time, put that protagonist into an original opening chapter.

When: Saturday, October 14, 2:30 to 4 p.m.

Where: Whistler Public Library

This workshop is intended for writers under 19 years of age! Free to attend, click here to register.
