The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) provides programs and services for residents and visitors through a variety of municipally owned and/or operated facilities

Service facilities

Municipal Hall
Municipal Hall is the main point of contact for the RMOW.

Customers can purchase transit passes and tickets, parking permits, commercial decals, dog licenses, pay property taxes, utilities, parking tickets, fines, business license, and permits at Municipal Hall.

Municipal Council Chambers
Council meetings are held twice a month on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. in the Whistler Council Chambers. Meetings are also live-streamed on whistler.ca.

Whistler Fire Rescue Service
Whistler Fire Rescue Service is dedicated to promoting fire and life safety throughout the resort.

Whistler RCMP
The Whistler detachment of the RCMP is responsible for keeping residents and visiting guests safe by providing the resort community’s policing service.

The Whistler Public Library is housed in an environmentally efficient, award-winning building in Whistler Village.

Municipal Parking
The RMOW manages parking at the Whistler Conference Centre, Whistler Public Library and Municipal Hall, in addition to on-street parking in Whistler Village. The RMOW also manages Day Lots 1-5 in conjunction with Whistler Blackcomb.

Wastewater Treatment Plant
The RMOW operates one of the most advanced wastewater treatment facilities in Canada.

Garbage, Composting and Recycling
The RMOW provides two depots for household garbagerecycling and compost:

  • Function Junction Depot | 1001 Lynham Road
  • Nester’s Depot | 8010 Nesters Road

Commercial businesses and stratas must arrange private waste collection services or bring their waste to the Whistler Transfer Station.

Composting Facility
Residents and businesses may drop off yard waste, clean wood waste, and sawdust at the composting facility.

Whistler Cemetery
The RMOW operates the Whistler Cemetery located approximately 800 metres north of Rainbow Park. Visitors are welcome, but please respect this special place.

Afterschool Care, Preschool and Children’s Programs – Kids on the Go
The Kids on the Go afterschool care, preschool, and camp programs take place at Myrtle Philip Community Centre.  The afterschool care program provides pick up services for children attending Spring Creek Elementary.

Youth Centre and LUNA
The RMOW operates the Youth Centre and Late and Unique Nighttime Alternatives (LUNA) programs for youth and young adults in Whistler.

Meadow Park Sports Centre is Whistler’s community recreation centre and includes:

  • A six-lane pool, kids’ pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub
  • Regulation-size ice arena
  • Squash courts
  • Weight room
  • Fitness studio

Pools and Water Parks

  • Aquatic Centre at Meadow Park Sports Centre – Whistler’s aquatic centre features a kids pool with a lazy river, a 25-metre 6-lane lap pool, hot tub, steam room, and sauna and towel rentals.
  • Outdoor Water Park – There is an outdoor water park adjacent to the playground at Meadow Park (located directly behind Meadow Park Sports Centre), which operates in the summer.

Ice Rinks

  • Indoor Ice Arena at Meadow Park Sports Centre – This NHL-sized ice surface includes public skating hours and a full service skate shop (including skate rentals, helmets and push bars).
  • Skating at at Whistler Olympic Plaza â€“ During the winter season, Whistler Olympic Plaza is transformed into outdoor skating rinks open to the public and available for private rentals.

Bike and Skate Parks

  • Whistler Village Bike Park – The Village Bike Park located between Fitzsimmons Creek and Day Lot 3 provides residents and visitors with opportunities to improve skills and gain confidence.
  • Whistler Skate Park – The skate park is a multi-sport venue for skateboarding, in-line skating, BMX, trials and Flo riding. It is centrally located between Fitzsimmons Creek and Day Lot 3 adjacent to the Village Bike Park.

Lost Lake PassivHaus
Owned by the RMOW and operated by Cross Country Connections, the Lost Lake PassivHaus is located at the trailhead of Lost Lake Park approximately five minutes from Whistler Village.

The day lodge is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes:

  • A café
  • Accessible washrooms
  • Cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals and lessons
  • Seating and a meeting space, which can be booked for events
  • Offices for the Whistler Nordics and Whistler Offroad Cycling Association (WORCA).

Location at the trailhead of Lost Lake Park approximately five minutes from Whistler Village. Lost Lake Park can be accessed by the Valley Trail, from Day Lots 4 and 5, or with the free Whistler Transit Village Shuttle at the Day Lot 4 drop-off.

Whistler is home to 31 community and neighbourhood parks. Outdoor spaces at Lost Lake, Rebagliati Park, Meadow Park and Rainbow Park are available to rent for private events.

Canoe and Kayak Storage
The RMOW provides canoe and kayak storage rack rentals at Alpha Lake Park, Lakeside Park, Wayside Park, Blueberry Park, Rainbow Park, Green Lake Park, and the Green Lake Boat Launch from May to November.

Playing/ Ball Fields
The RMOW maintains the Myrtle Philip Community Fields, and ball fields and outdoor facilities at Spruce Grove Park, and the fields can be be rented for league use or tournaments.

Whistler Golf Club and Driving Range

  • The Whistler Golf Club – The Whistler Golf Club, located adjacent to Whistler Village, is one of Canada’s top ranked golf courses. The facility is owned by the RMOW and operated by Tourism Whistler.
  • Driving Range — The Whistler Golf Club practice facility is located east of the golf course in Whistler Village.

Visitor services facilities

Village Host Kiosks
The RMOW’s Village Host volunteers provide year-round assistance to visitors requiring guidance and direction.

Visitor Information Centre
Operated by Tourism Whistler, staff at the Visitor Information Centre can provide information on what’s happening around town and assist with accommodation, bus schedules, directions, and activity information.

Whistler Conference Centre
The Whistler Conference Centre is located in the heart of Whistler Village and features over 40,000 square feet of versatile meeting space and the capacity to host conferences and events of all sizes. The facility is owned by the RMOW and operated by Tourism Whistler.
