Council meetings to remain online and will utilize Zoom webinar for questions from the public
Members of the public will be able to directly ask Resort Municipality of Whistler Mayor and Council questions at the next Regular Meeting of Council October 6, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. Council meetings will now be held on Zoom Webinar to allow members of the public to virtually join the meeting and ask questions during the public question and answer period. Council meetings have been held remotely since April 7 due to COVID-19.
“We are excited to again be able to welcome questions from the public and I encourage the community to join our meetings and we are happy to answer all questions,” said Mayor Jack Crompton. “Virtual Council meetings offer the opportunity to stay up to date on what is happening at the RMOW from the comfort of just about anywhere. We are your Council and everyone is welcome and encouraged to engage as much as they can.”
The public question and answer period is held near the beginning of the agenda and anyone with questions is asked to join the meeting no later than 5:30 p.m. Members of the public asking questions will not be on camera. The public can also continue to email their questions for Council to address to firstname.lastname@example.org by 4 p.m. on Council day. A full schedule of Council meeting dates as well as agendas can be found at www.whistler.ca/council
