Publication Date: December 14, 2021

Whistler village in winter.

Update from Monday, December 20, 2021: Due to the recent Public Health Officer orders, the Resort Municipality of Whistler has cancelled the additional transit service related to the fireworks on New Year’s Eve.  However, free transit service will continue to be offered from 6 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. within Whistler.

BC Transit and its regional partners are offering special New Year’s Eve service in a number of transit systems across the province. While each transit system offering varies, BC Transit and its partners want to ensure riders make it safely and comfortably to their destination. See below for a list of New Year’s Eve service taking place on December 31 and January 1.

The Resort Municipality of Whistler’s New Year’s Eve Special service includes free service within Whistler between 6 pm and 3:30 am. There will also be additional buses to get you to and from the Fireworks at 8pm and midnight. See bctransit.com/whistler for times.
