Free regular service to be offered on New Year’s Eve from 6 p.m.
The winter transit service is now in effect until April 5, 2020. The winter schedule includes additional scheduled buses on weekends and holidays.
Starting on December 18, additional buses will be added to the schedule for school winter holidays until January 3, 2020.
2021 holiday enhanced service includes:
- Family Day– Monday, February 15
- Easter Monday – April 5
This year, free transit will continue to be offered in Whistler on New Year’s Eve beginning at 6 p.m. to the end of regular service hours. As New Year’s Eve special events have been cancelled this year to align with the Provincial Health Orders, additional buses and extended hours will not be offered.
“Although this will not be our usual New Year’s Eve with festive gatherings and events, it’s important that we continue to support the resort community in making good choices,” said Mayor Jack Crompton. “Our resident’s and guest’s safety is top of mind, and we want everyone to get home safely.”
Riders are reminded that face coverings are required onboard transit and at transit stops. Some exclusions apply. Visit www.bctransit.com/covid19 for more information.
While supplies last, the Resort Municipality of Whistler is offering complimentary face masks with the in-person purchase of a 6-month, 12-month, December 2020 or January 2021 transit pass at Municipal Hall.
