New Owner Information

There are a few things to know about taxes when a property changes ownership.

When properties change hands, arrangements for payment of taxes should be worked out by the parties involved. This usually involves a lawyer or notary public.

Taxes are levied against the property, not the owner, and therefore remain with the property in spite of any change of ownership.
