Canada Day in Whistler Village
This Canada Day, we encourage both locals and visitors to partake in a meaningful celebration. The municipality acknowledges July 1 as an opportunity to contemplate the entirety of Canada’s history, encompassing the truths of our past and ongoing relationship with Indigenous peoples.
Whistler Village is situated within the shared, unceded territory of the L̓il̓wat7úl (Lil’wat People) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish People).
Canada Day in Whistler is a celebration that brings together locals and visitors in the heart of Whistler Village. The day starts with a community yoga session in Mountain Square, followed by a delicious pancake breakfast at Olympic Plaza. The highlight is the Community Parade, showcasing the spirit of Whistler. In the afternoon, enjoy roving entertainment and cultural performers, adding spontaneous joy to the festivities. The celebration culminates with an evening concert at Olympic Plaza, featuring Walk Off the Earth.
