November 3: Fitzsimmons Creek, Fitzsimmons Fan Park and Green Lake have reopened for swimming following a sewage leak. 

The Resort Municipality of Whistler reported that sewage was accidentally released into Fitzsimmons Creek, near Fitzsimmons Walk, at around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. 

The release happened as part of the ongoing work for the Sewer Main Repair Project.  

Water quality sampling and site remediation took place. The laboratory results showed the spill impacts were minor and had dissipated by the next day.
