Frequently asked questions

How much time do I need to give to cancel days and receive a refund?

Caregivers who wish to change their child’s days of enrollment or to withdraw from the program are asked to give written notice a calendar month in advance to kotg@whistler.ca. For example, changes for the month of November must be emailed to kotg@whistler.ca no later than September 30. Changes made less than one calendar month in advance are not eligible for refunds. Switching or swapping is still considered a cancellation and therefore do not allow for a refund. Additionally trading days with other families is not permitted.

How do I add or change days?

Changes can be made to your child(ren)’s registration by calling the Recreation Programmer at 604.935.8370 or emailing your changes to kotg@whistler.ca.

Do you pick up children from Spring Creek Community School?

We use our 15 passenger vans to transport the children from Spring Creek Community School to Myrtle Philip Community School. Our vans are serviced monthly, inspected daily and driven by qualified Class 4 drivers. The vans are equipped with either car seats or booster seats.

Is Kids On The Go open when there is a Pro-D Day or Collaboration Day?

When school is not in session, we offer a full day KOTG program. Children may be dropped off at 8:30 a.m. and picked up by 5:30 p.m. Our full day programs are active and usually have an off-site activity scheduled. Children must have a nut-free lunch, snacks, water bottle, and appropriate clothing for the trip and weather. The same paperwork is required prior to your child(ren) attending the full day program. You must contact the Recreation Programmer at 604.935.8370 or kotg@whistler.ca to register.

What subsidies are available for the KOTG Program?

The Affordable Child Care Benefit is a monthly payment to help eligible families with the cost of childcare. Factors like income, family size, and type of care determine how much support families can get.

Families need to renew their application every year.

For assistance with obtaining the Child Care Arrangement Form as part of the application process, email kotg@whistler.ca
