July 17, 2025: Vancouver Coastal Health has tested the water at Lakeside Park beach and the water coliform levels have reduced enough to allow for swimming again.

July 14, 2025 advisory:

Vancouver Coastal Health has directed Lakeside Park beach to be closed due to high levels of coliform in the water. The rest of the park is open. The closure will remain until follow up water samples confirms the water quality meets Vancouver Coastal Health standards.
