The RMOW determines a set criteria based on the requirements outlined in the RFP document. The final outcome is determined on a best value basis.
Requests for Quotation (RFQ)
The RMOW determines the outcome of an RFQ based on pricing. Pricing is only evaluated if the proposal meets a set of mandatory criterion, which will vary depending on the nature of the solicitation. Mandatory criterion include WorkSafe BC, insurance and business licence requirements.
Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ)
This format is used to prequalify Suppliers in the first stage of a two-stage Open Competition. Bidders who meet the requirements of the RFSQ are eligible to participate in the second stage Procurement process and are invited to respond to a subsequent Solicitation Document.

Requests for Invitations to Tender (ITT)

Requests for Expression of Interest (EOI)
EOI means Expression of Interest that can be used as the first of a two-step procurement process. This is a call to potential providers of goods and/or services to register interest in supplying them. The EOI can be used to shortlist potential suppliers before seeking detailed bids from the shortlisted tenders.

Notices of Intent (NOI)
NOI means Notice of Intent. This is the method by which the RMOW provides vendors with the opportunity to challenge the intended direct award of a contract for goods, services or construction without competition.

Project submission requirements
The Data Submission Standards document describes the technical standards and procedures for submitting the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) with data representing existing and newly constructed infrastructure assets. The drawings must conform to the RMOW’s Data Submission Standards for capital and/or construction projects where applicable. Data is not only required for newly constructed infrastructure assets, but also for existing infrastructure that has been affected by the project(s).
