RMOW is requesting quotations for construction services for Phase 1 of the Fitzsimmons Creek Flood Management Diversion Habitat Compensation Channel, as described in the attached Issued for Tender drawing set. Construction services to be provided will consist of:

  1. Prior to work commencing, preparing equipment to be working in a habitat area by using vegetable based
    hydraulic oil and pre cleaning power washing equipment to remove excess oil and grease.
  2. Establishing construction access from Lost Lake Loop road (location shown in Figure 1) to the work area.
    Construction access may require grubbing and preparation to accommodate the heavy vehicles which would
    include a vehicle turn around area.
  3. Staffing three Traffic Control Person (TCP) locations through the duration of the project to maintain public
    access on the valley trail.
  4. Surveying and grubbing along Phase 1 construction extents,
  5. Excavation to achieve Phase 1 cut extents, and hauling to an approved disposal location, to be arranged by the
    contractor,
  6. Stockpiling large woody debris logs and boulders removed during construction that meets material
    specifications,
  7. Sourcing, importing, and placing additional large woody debris logs and boulders (additional logs and boulders
    will need to be imported).
  8. Complete seeding and planting work under the direction of the construction QEP.

Work is to be completed between April 1, 2025, and April 30, 2025. The successful bidder must submit a health
and safety plan, a traffic management plan, and an environmental management plan to support the environmental guidance described in the attached drawing set pertaining to instream works, sediment and erosion control, deleterious substance control, and spill and spill reporting. Note: Project construction will only commence if applicable approvals and permits are in place.
