Located on the second floor at Meadow Park Sports Centre (MPSC) the 4,500-square-foot fitness centre includes weight and resistance training equipment, a wide range of cardio machines, and an area to stretch and do lighter exercises. Get fit on your own or with the help of one of our certified personal trainers.

Access is included with your MPSC entry fee, excluding fitness programs.

Equipment overview

Cardio room

The cardio room offers fantastic mountain views and the latest equipment from Precor and Keiser, including treadmills, ellipticals, steppers, recumbent, upright, and spin bikes, as well as rowers. It also features a recumbent cross trainer, the first in the Corridor, ideal for anyone recovering from a mobility injury.

Weight room

The bright and spacious weight room offers views of the pool and squash courts and features Cybex strength machines, a wide variety of free weights, sport-specific equipment, and balance and rehabilitation tools.

Stretching area

Cool down after a hard workout or enjoy some quiet mat work in a separate stretching area. Use exercise mats, foam rollers, yoga blocks, and more to customize your workout.

Accessibility features

  • Hand erg with removable seat for wheelchair access

  • Bands with wall anchors (no wheelchair anchors)

  • Trainer with experience working with cancer patients – Stephen List (MSc in Sport and Health, BSc in Sport and Exercise Science, Cancer, Cardiac and GP Referral Exercise Specialist)
  • Free access to support attendants who assist persons with disabilities
  • Elevator access to the second floor (key available at the front desk)
  • Accessible changerooms on the first floor, including a sitting shower and adjustable-height change table

Pedal wheelchair rental

The Whistler Mature Action Community (MAC) received a grant from the Real Estate Association of Whistler to purchase a pedal wheelchair for Whistler residents with impaired mobility. The pedal wheelchair is stored at MPSC and can be borrowed free of charge for up to 3 hours.

  • Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance
  • Users must bring a buddy to assist with transfers
  • Both the user and buddy must sign a waiver and provide ID and credit card
  • Helmets are strongly recommended

  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • Kinesiology services available for injury recovery, post-surgery rehab, motor vehicle accidents, postpartum recovery, and chronic disease management. Some insurance plans cover kinesiology—check your health plan before registering.

Youth on Weights (ages 13-15)

For 13- to 15-year-olds wanting to start training in the Fitness Centre, Youth on Weights is offered as a two-session registered program. Access to the Fitness Centre and Fitness Classes is granted upon successful completion of the program.
