Outdoor skating is located at Whistler Olympic Plaza in the heart of Whistler Village.

Outdoor skating facilities and activities

  • Limited capacity, first come/first served. No reservations or private bookings during public skate times.
  • Skate rentals are available. Skaters are encouraged to bring their own skates and helmets as there is a limited supply in available sizes.
  • Helmets are encouraged at all times and are available at no charge. Limited quantities.
  • Skate aids available at no charge. Limited quantities.
  • Adjacent Snow Zone for snow play when conditions allow.
  • Game zone (stick and puck play) is Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 to 5 p.m.
  • Opening is weather dependent. The ice may be closed due to heavy snow, rain or warming temperatures. Call 604-935-PLAY (7529) and press 3 for up-to-date information.

School rentals

Sea to Sky elementary and secondary schools must book in advance to secure space. School skating is available Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Contact 604-935-8468 to secure your date.

Rates

  • Ages 3 and Under – No Charge
  • Child 4 to 12 – $3.50 or $28 for 10-time pass
  • Youth 13 to 18 – $5 or $40 for a 10-time pass
  • Adult 19-plus – $6 or $48 for a 10-time pass
  • Skate rentals: $7
  • Helmets and skate aids: Free

  • Physical support offered to get on/off the ice

Private Ice Rentals (9-10 p.m. only)

Planning a birthday party? Hosting a work event? The outdoor skating rink at Whistler Olympic Plaza is available for private rental.

Capacity: 50 skaters
