Multicultural Community Kitchen: Stories & Flavours of Cameroon

Join us for a unique hands-on community experience that blends food, culture, and storytelling. In celebration of the RMOW’s 50th anniversary, this special Multicultural Community Kitchen highlights the journeys of immigrants whose courage and contributions continue to shape Whistler’s story.

What to expect:

  • Learn how to prepare a traditional Cameroonian meal in a fun, interactive cooking workshop.
  • Take part in a storytelling-through-art activity in pairs, sharing your personal journey to Canada — your challenges, wins, and dreams.
  • Enjoy the meal you’ve prepared together, connecting across cultures and experiences.

In partnership with the Whistler Museum, participants will have the option to share their stories for archiving — ensuring that 200 years from now, future generations will know about the immigrant trailblazers who helped build the Whistler we know today.

This event is generously funded by the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW).

Come cook, share, and celebrate the stories that make Whistler’s community so rich.

Cost:

  • Adults: $13.50
