Spring Showers, Whistler Flowers
As we enter this typically rainy season, the Resort Municipality of Whistler commissioned local graphic designer, Ruth Barrow, to produce forest and alpine meadow art displays in temporary rain-activated paint at Whistler Olympic Plaza and throughout the Village Stroll.
Native and spring flowers displayed will include lupines, Indian paintbrush and mountain arnica. The Village Stroll displays are visible when the ground is damp at Village Square and the Village Stroll down to Whistler Olympic Plaza, where a final meadow installation will bloom at the end of May.
The paint will last until July before disappearing and is non-toxic, environmentally safe and biodegradable.
Download The Whistler Wildflower Guide to discover these and more wildflowers still to bloom.
