Trail Conditions
Comments
The cross-country ski trails were groomed and track-set last night by snowcat are hard packed conditions this morning. The Lost Lake Core trails are in really good condition considering the warm weather we have received over the past few days. There are multiple sections that are starting to get very thin, including the east side of Lost Lake, and the track-set may be intermittent. The trails are skiing firm and fast this morning but will soften up considerably as the temperatures rise. The Nicklaus North trails are closed due to low snowpack. Poler’s Descent, Upper Fairways, Lower Fairways and Black Loop are closed due low snowpack. We will be checking the Chateau detour before opening it this morning as things have been melting out quickly. The Dyke Trail from Nicklaus North ticket booth is no longer being groomed due to snow levels, but the ticket booth remains open today to access the trails from the North end. Please be cautious throughout the day as the sun will bring changing and variable conditions. Come on out and soak up the sun while you enjoy a spring ski or snowshoe!
For the safety and enjoyment of our Nordic skiers and snowshoers, please note the following apply during winter operations within Lost Lake Park and on both the Nicklaus North and Chateau Golf courses
