Registration for fall and winter programs begins August 10
Meadow Park Sports Centre will be closed Monday, August 19 until Monday, September 2 for annual maintenance, with the pool area remaining closed through Monday, September 23.
During the closure, the fitness studio will receive a new floor. The pool will also be drained and the lines on the bottom of the pool repainted.
The Fall/Winter Recreation Guide is online. Registration for fall and winter programs listed in the guide as well as online is staggered. Popular programs usually book up quickly: so follow the registration checklist to ensure you’re prepared for registration day.
Registration for Whistler residents: Online registration for fall and winter programs listed in the guide as well as online begins Saturday, August 10 at 11 a.m. for Whistler residents. In-person and phone registration (at 604-935-PLAY (7529)) begins Sunday, August 11 at 6 a.m. at Meadow Park Sports Centre.
Registration for non-residents: Online registration for individuals who don’t reside in Whistler (non-residents) begins Saturday, August 17 at 11 a.m. In-person and phone registration (at 604-935-PLAY (7529)) begins Sunday, August 18 at 6 a.m. at Meadow Park Sports Centre.
Registration for the Kids on the Go afterschool program: Registration for the Kids on the Go afterschool program for the 2019/2020 school year will open on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in person at Meadow Park Sports Centre. The doors open at 6 a.m., and registration will begin shortly after. Please be prepared to register for the entire school year as of August 11.
Work on the Meadow Park Sports Centre expansion and stretching room addition is on schedule and expected to be completed April 2020. The work will cause some noise during the construction period, but is not expected to cause any facility closures. The expansion will add 138 square metres of space, with an expanded fitness centre cardio room and a new stretching room.
Meadow Park Sports Centre offers a six-lane pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub, a NHL-sized arena, squash courts, weight room and a fitness studio. Since opening in 1993, there have been several building enhancements and annual maintenance is undertaken to ensure the upkeep of high standard community facilities.
