Supporting Whistler through grants and funding partners
Each year, RMOW council awards financial grants to local non-profit organizations or societies that benefit the resort community.
Funding is provided to organizations that provide services which support and supplement existing municipal services.
The RMOW receives Municipal and Regional District Tax from the Province of British Columbia. Also known as Hotel Tax, the revenues apply to short-term accommodation.
This funding from the Province of British Columbia is a significant revenue source for eligible resort municipalities and has allowed Whistler to invest in many important programs and services to support tourism
