2025 Road reconstruction and paving project

Overview

The goal of this project is to rehabilitate and improve the pavement of various roads and valley trails throughout the Resort Municipality of Whistler. Below is a list of the four segments of the road that will be rehabilitated.

1 – Lorimer Road – Balsam Way to Piccolo Road

2 – Blackcomb Way – Glacier Drive to the Bridge

3 – Blackcomb Way Northbound – Sundial Crescent to Pan Pacific

4 – Blackcomb Way Northbound – Chateau Blvd to the Bus Stop

Construction Impacts

During construction, vehicular traffic may experience minor delays and congestion. Before construction starts, notices will be given to affected residents, businesses, schools, and services.

Construction activities will also result in equipment noise and an increase in the number of construction vehicles. Minor delays and single-lane alternating traffic may occur throughout the project duration.

To ensure safety and smooth traffic flow, traffic control personnel will be present on-site. We kindly ask everyone to follow their instructions and adhere to all construction signs.
