The Snow Zone is open
The fun will grow as temperatures drop and more snow is made. Stay tuned for an expanded Snow Zone at Whistler Olympic Plaza.
Outdoor skating open daily at Whistler Olympic Plaza
Join us in the heart of Whistler Village and glide into winter at the Whistler Olympic Plaza outdoor skating rink. Outdoor skating begins daily at 11 a.m. Visit our website for more info including operating and holiday hours.
LUNA Whistler January programming
Kick off the new year with LUNA Whistler’s January programming. This month features the return of the always-popular Laser Tag in the Library, weekly yoga, a ping pong tournament, a relaxing sound bath, Hockey 101 (with chocolate fondue), and an Afro-Polynesian fusion dance class. Lost Lake Nordic Trails are open
Enjoy cross-country skiing (classic and skate) and snowshoeing daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with night skiing on the Lost Lake Loop. Passes required. Check out trail conditions.
Christmas tree disposal
All done with your Christmas tree? You can drop off Christmas trees at the Nesters and Function Junction waste depots until Sunday, January 11. Please ensure you remove all lights, electronics, plastic wrappings, metal wiring, tinsel and ornaments from your tree. The Whistler Transfer Station accepts trees year-round for a fee, except on Thursday, January 1. Thank you for disposing of your Christmas tree responsibly.
2026 co-ed adult sports nights
We have something for everyone, from basketball and soccer to volleyball, pickleball, and badminton. Register ahead of time, on your own or bring some friends for a fun night in a social atmosphere. View the schedule (PDF) and register now.

New hourly parking rate for municipal parking lots and metered street parking will go into effect on Monday, January 19

Fake QR codes found in parking lots
Fraudulent QR codes imitating the official PayByPhone payment signs were discovered on pay parking terminals and signs in the Whistler Day Lots 1 through 5 (in the main Village Centre) and Main Street municipal parking areas, and the Marketplace private lot off Lorimer Road. Municipal parking in Whistler does not use QR codes for payment. Click the link to learn more.
Water quality improvements for South Whistler now scheduled for January 2026
To meet Health Canada’s updated guidelines and help protect your pipes, fittings and fixtures, we will be adjusting the pH levels in South Whistler’s water system. If you’re a business that relies on water, now’s the time to prepare for the pH change. Click the link for more information.

Winter parking regulations in effect
Whistler’s winter parking regulations are in effect from November 1 to March 31 to help keep roads and parking lots cleared:
- No even side parking Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (excluding holidays).
- No odd side parking any time during the year.
- No overnight parking in the day lots or any other surface level lots in the winter to allow for snow clearing.
CONSTRUCTION
RCMP renovation underway
Please expect reduced parking at Municipal Hall, and increased construction activity, noise and traffic throughout this period. Construction is scheduled until April, 2026.
