A Timeless Circle by Susan Point image by Justa Jeskova

The overall design stemmed from the artist’s experience while working in a carving pavilion during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, with Musqueam being one of the Host First Nations. Point created 86 different faces that reflect the various cultures, visitors, athletes, hosts, and people that attended the Games—and also represent the people of the past, present, and future of this land. Each face was individually carved from cedar and cast in bronze.
