Dancing Wind

The number four inspired this artwork: four directions, elements, seasons, and stages of life. We dance together in the wind since the same breeze touches us all. In this piece the North wind is embodied by a Wolf in white, the East wind is an Eagle in yellow, the South wind is a Frog in red, and the West wind is a Bear in black. This work was inspired by the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, with Kwakiutl and Coast Salish representing Indigenous people in western Canada.
