On these Yellow Cedar doors, the tall bird is a Great Blue Heron, a patient angler. The Grizzly Bear is also an angler, but at any time, the Eagle can swoop down and take the fish for itself. These animals remind us to care for nature and respect all creatures. Also find a Cedar (the tree of life), the mountains, and the sun, the everlasting nurturer of Mother Earth.
This work was inspired by the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, with Lil’wat Nation one of four Host Nations.
