When taking a close look at this artwork you will find sacred Lil’wat pictographs, ancient markers used in spiritual journeys and ceremonies, mixed with modern symbols of the Games created in that style. Here, time sets no boundaries—the beating hearts of the athletes convey the same energy as those of the artist’s ancestors. This work was inspired by the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, with Lil’wat Nation one of four Host Nations.
