
This art piece is an emblem of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. An inukshuk is a mound of rocks constructed by the Inuit people of northern Canada to act as a directional guide or landmark.
When it is shaped to look like a human it is called an inunnguaq and symbolic of openness, welcoming, and strength.
