The artist had the idea to create Poet’s Pause, which combines sculpture, place making, and poetry. Lakeside Couple is one of two sculptures here in Alta Lake Park that make up Poet’s Pause. An annual poetry competition invites submission of poems inspired by this place and winning selections are displayed. The theme for Lakeside Couple is togetherness. Sit in the chairs and feel transformed.
