This installation was inspired by the artist’s wife, Sharon Sullivan, and is created as a lasting monument to love in all its forms.
The four-piece sculpture made from black basalt examines the nature of human emotions, both spiritual and physical. It also explores the bonding of human relationships and cultures.
Using symbolism, organic form and texture, the sculptures create a pulsating flow of energy and beauty, both individually and as a series.
The first sculpture in this series by Patrick Sullivan is located at the entrance of Alpha Lake Park in Creekside and has Art ID #109.
